DAY 1 :
Our staff will be there to warmly welcome you at the Airport, from there we will accompany you to the city of Kandy which is around 115km from Colombo, a journey through spectacular scenery. There you will be staying in a Luxury Hotel, and will have the most amazing stay.
The city of Kandy was the last capital of the ancient kings' era of Sri Lanka. The city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is well known for its natural beauty surrounded by foggy mountains and water falls. Kandy is both an administrative and religious city. Kandy is the home to the Temple of the Tooth Relic and one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988. Tourists are mainly attracted to Kandy given the moderate climate of 22ºC.
DAY 2 :
After breakfast you will be taken to visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. The gardens are known for its collection of a variety of orchids. It includes more than 4000 species of plants comprising of orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees.
After a short tour to the Botanical Gardens we will accompany you to and then the Elephant orphanage situated in Pinnawala. Pinnawalla is notable for having the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. The elephants at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage aren’t subjected to any form of stress or threat to the elephants and are supported by a team of employees at the orphanage numbering over 100.
In the evening we will take you for a city tour in Kandy, where you will witness the majestic heritage that Sri Lanka is so proud of. In the night you will enjoy a traditional cultural Kandyan dancing session in the hotel.
DAY 3 :
On day 03 after a traditional breakfast we will be taking you to Nuwara Eliya, also known as “The city with mist” or “Little England”. Upon entering the city you will see the mesmerizing architecture of Tudorian and Georgian eras. The city is full of beautiful gardens full of Roses. The journey itself is beautiful ride with scenic mountains and water falls, the climate gets cooler to the climb of the mountains. You will witness the lush tea plantations where you can witness the origins of Ceylon tea. We will have you treated to exotic lunch at the Ramboda Falls Hotel overlooking the gorgeous Ramboda water falls.
In the evening you can visit Haggala Botanical Gardens followed by a city tour of Nuwara Eliya where you can enjoy a cheerful pony ride. You will be staying overnight in a Luxury hotel in Nuwara Eliya. (The temperature around 15ºC)
DAY 4 :
After a scrumptious breakfast we will be accompanying you to Horton Plains. Shrouded in cold windy mist on top of the Sri Lankan hill country above 2000m, now identified as a world heritage site. Its main residents are elks, monkeys, eagles, horned lizards and the occasional leopards. Once in the Horton Plains a few kilometers’ walking will take you to witness “The world’s end”, the place where you feel the end of the world. The walk is very enjoyable as you will be walking though beautiful grass plains passing natural streams. The ideal place for relaxing your mind where you can abandon all your sorrows.
Stay overnight in the same luxury hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
DAY 5 :
After Breakfast we start the climb down to Colombo via Hatton once again witnessing a scenic journey through tea plantations and water falls. We will stop in Kithulgala to gain an unforgettable experience in White water rafting in the Kelani River in Kithulgala (if you wish to) followed by a safe river Bath in Kithulgala.
In the evening return to we will be returning to Colombo where you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of the City life. You will be taken on a shopping tour through public markets , department stores, handy crafts etc.
Overnight stay in a luxury hotel in Colombo.
DAY 6 : Transfer to the Airport.
