Itinerary
Each day of your journey is thoughtfully crafted to offer a perfect balance of discovery, culture, and relaxation. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure through some of the island’s most captivating destinations.
You’ll be warmly welcomed at the airport by our representative and transferred to Kandy – a scenic 115km drive from Colombo. Check in at your luxury hotel and unwind in the cool climate and tranquil surroundings.
About Kandy:
The last royal capital of Sri Lanka, Kandy is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich culture and natural beauty. Surrounded by hills and tea plantations, Kandy is home to the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, a revered site for Buddhists around the world. Expect misty mountains, cascading waterfalls, and a serene lake at the heart of the city.
After breakfast, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, home to over 4,000 plant species, including a stunning orchid collection.
Continue to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, home to the largest group of captive elephants in the world – all cared for in a safe, nurturing environment.
In the evening, enjoy a guided Kandy city tour, ending with a vibrant cultural show featuring traditional Kandyan dance. Overnight stay in Kandy.
After a traditional breakfast, head to Nuwara Eliya — Sri Lanka’s “Little England”. The cool climate, colonial-era buildings, and beautifully maintained rose gardens make it a unique hill country gem.
Stop for lunch at Ramboda Falls Hotel, with a spectacular view of the waterfalls.
In the afternoon, visit the Haggala Botanical Gardens, followed by a relaxing city tour and optional pony ride around Gregory Lake. Overnight stay at a luxury hotel in Nuwara Eliya. (Average temperature: 15ºC)
Begin the day with a trip to Horton Plains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located over 2,000m above sea level.
Take a scenic walk through grasslands and cloud forests to reach World’s End, a breathtaking cliff with dramatic views. Along the way, you might spot sambar deer, monkeys, eagles, or even a leopard.
Return to your hotel in Nuwara Eliya for a restful evening.
After breakfast, depart for Colombo via Hatton, enjoying the beautiful landscapes of tea estates and waterfalls along the way.
Stop in Kitulgala for an optional white water rafting adventure on the Kelani River — a thrilling yet safe experience, followed by a refreshing river bath.
Arrive in Colombo and explore the vibrant capital with a shopping and city tour, covering local markets, handicraft stores, and more. Overnight stay at a luxury hotel in Colombo.
